I can’t say enough amazing things about the L.C.C.M. The instructors are great, and very patient. I enjoyed my first lesson so much that I requested to move up to an hour rather than a half. Graham was great with going through how everything works, and making sure I was set up for success with my fabulous instructor Sidd :). A major shoutout to Karl, who went above and beyond, and actually came to set-up my drum kit at home! He was so kind, and showed me from start to finish on how a setup works. What a hidden gem! Piano, guitar, voice lessons and more nestled above the dance studio. There are many private rooms and a comfortable waiting area. It’s creatively decorated and each room is a different colour. Really great vibes here! I just started piano lessons and it’s been a great experience so far. My teacher Jake is very patient with me as a beginner and makes me feel comfortable. He has a great approach on teaching. Learning has been fun and I’ve really enjoyed our lessons! I also met one of the owners (Graham) and you can tell how passionate he is about his business. Whatever stage of life you are in, this is great for all ages. I highly recommend coming here :)

I’ve been taking guitar lessons with Graehme and I really appreciate his approach. He is a very compassionate person, which shows in his teaching, as well as an incredibly talented player. He makes a real effort to get to know you, your relationship to the instrument, to music, to who you are, and in combination with understanding your goals/hopes, guides you on a very personalized pathway. I'm taking drum lessons with Karl and vocal lessons with Graehme. Both are very knowledgeable, as well as patient and encouraging. I've made great progress thanks to these guys and I'd definitely recommend them.
I'm a classical pianist and I wanted to learn how to play the drums. I've been in many music schools during my studies but LCCM is unlike any I have ever seen. The school resonates with musical passion: the halls are lined with rock music paraphernalia and each music room is equipped with amazing equipment (I have the pleasure of playing on a $15,000 electronic drum kit in my lesson room). The teachers are also experts in their craft. My drum teacher, Karl, is the inventor of an innovative way of playing the drums called the "Coordination Code". Ask for it to be taught to you if you are learning the drums! It allowed me to play complicated patterns in a fraction of the time. I'm also going to start guitar lessons with LCCM soon! I highly recommend this school.
IMO this is the best places to take lessons. 3 members of my family have taken a variety of lessons here and the instruction is top notch. It's one thing to be knowledgable on a subject, but to be able to communicate that info effectively as an instructor is something else altogether. If you're looking to take lessons it'll be well worth your time to check it out.
I have been playing guitar with Graehme Floyd for almost 3 years now and I can safely say he has been my favourite teacher in all my years of education, not just in music. I have had the privilege to meet all the teachers at the school, Graehme, Tyce and Carl... They all want the best for their students and will do anything to accomodate for their needs.Don't want to play classical? No problem. Want to learn everything about theory? Easy, let's start here! Having trouble with rythym? Don't worry here are some exercises that will get you started.If you are unsure on where you wanna go with music, they have an effective system with levels of different colours to increase students knowledge on their instrument of choice - or voice!Since I've worked with Graehme the most, he has truly made music a world where I don't feel pressure to be perfect, but to enjoy what I am learning and what I'm playing. I hope to learn guitar with LCCM for many years to come. In our home, we play a number of instruments including bagpipes, violin, harp, and flute. Karl and his team have always been an amazing resource for us. Quality lessons from quality musicians. I taught guitar lessons with them for many many years and I can say with confidence that they always strive to give their students what they're looking for. Not everyone has aspirations of playing like Joe Satriani or Mike Portnoy. Some students, young and old, just want to get their skills to a point where they can play along with friends or casually around a camp fire. What ever musical goals you have for yourself, they will find a way to help you get there.
After drumming for 30 years, I met Karl and he straightened my bad habits and got me drumming better than I have ever experienced. I can go on and on about what he has done for me, things that make total sense. But to put it in a nutshell and show to you, he has both the theory and practical practises well laid out to build a solid drummer. I love this guy and has become one of my life’s greatest influences. I travel 2 1/2 hours for his lessons and it is worth every kilometre spent on the highway to rock and roll.
Overall, I had an excellent experience with LCCM. Both the instruction and the instructors are first class. I highly recommend anyone - young or old, beginner to experienced - to seek out the team at LCCM if they want to learn how to play an instrument (in my case guitar) or simply "fine tune" their skills. It is never too late to start learning how to play a musical instrument.

7. Free, All Inclusive Student Concerts
At the LCCM we run regular performance giving our student the chance to gain valuable playing experience in a comfortable environment. Our students have the option of performing in our student concerts. Students are not required to perform, but may choose to. Parents never have to pay admission or related fees for these recitals.

8. Modern Tools to Help You Succeed With Ease
At the LCCM we use a variety of different pieces of software to deliver maximum value for your lessons. We us an online computer program called MyMusicStaff. The program can be accessed from any device with an internet connection and allows you to easily track your lessons, practice time, see upcoming events, access lesson materials (homework, handouts, recordings, transcriptions, etc.), get feedback from your teacher outside of lessons, and much more. Parents can even get reports and account information for tax receipts.
There's no extra cost for this program - it is included with your regular lessons!

The LCCM does not require semester minimums for lessons. Every student is on a month-to-month basis.
